OOPS!
Well, with all the things that have happened lately, I forgot I started 'blogging'. Since the beginning of November we've had very little time off and that time was spent working on getting moved from Wilmington to Canton, Georgia. I told Beth I'm going to die in this house. I don't ever want to go through that again. After we found the house that we wanted in Canton, we spent a month and a half working steady to build up a few days so we could close on the house and then go to Wilmington, pack, and get back to Canton. Sounds simple right? WRONG! We did manage to get a day off to go close on the house but we had to immediately drive to Wilmington. Wilmington is 8 hours away so that was a real fun drive right after getting back from Kent, WA. Once we got there we were completely overwhelmed. Without the help of those who were there(you know who you are and THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU), we'd have lost our minds! Between the packing and the prep work we went down to the wire but we made it out of there just in time to get back to work. The worst part of the whole thing was that we had to put everything in storage because the people we bought the house from needed to 'lease back' a month meaning everything we just packed on the truck had to go into storage instead of the house. It worked out ok because at the beginning of February when we took some time off to move in, we hired some movers to move our stuff from the building to the house. WHEW! That was a close one. I thought I was going to have to fingerprint everything we own yet AGAIN! So anyway, everything made it to the house but that was another stressful day. The DishNetwork guy arrived first thing in the morning. We never got the call because he was given the wrong number so I had to answer the door in my pj's. While he was there, Beth and I got the washer and dryer unloaded and up the stairs. During that, the movers called to say they were waiting at the building. The Dish guy wasn't allowed to be at the house alone so I stayed while Beth met the movers. I had to hurry and hook up the washer and dryer before the movers got there. Beth had to come back and pick me up because I had to deal with the motorcycle. Then, with everything loaded, we went back to the house to wait on the movers. Everything came off the truck successfully and we reveled in our accomplishments with a round of beers. With the movers gone, we set to work to get the few things we needed done before we could relax. We were hoping to be at home in our new house surrounded by our stuff and a few friends and watch the SuperBowl. Not to happen; sometime during that hectic day we got....'the call'. We had to go back to work on Sunday before the game. Well that brings us up to date. I'm sitting here in Gonzalez, California waiting on our load back to Georgia to be ready. I was on the computer and figured I'd catch you up. I'll try to be better now that we're in the house...
